Celebrating Hawk Pride

Often parents are school staff are disappointed to see increased negative behaviors in school, especially at certain times of the year.  What we often fail to point out is that the vast majority of our students show exemplary behavior each and every day.  In fact, of the 490 students currently enrolled at Glenbrook, 431 have had no negative behavioral referrals this school year. Additionally, of the 59 students who have had an office behavior referral, only 37 of them have received more than one.  That means, 92% of our students have exemplary Hawk Pride Behavior consistently following our mantra of:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Real Safe

To celebrate our students' success, when students go above and beyond to show Hawk Pride, they can earn a Positive Behavior Referral. This purple referral requires that they visit the principal's office for a kudos and a special reward.  Students can choose from a menu of options ranging from a stuffed animal from our prize box to game time with a friend.  They get their picture taken and it's hung on one of the 2 "Hawk Pride" boards which line our hallways. Students must also get the "referral" signed by their parents!
