Read Across Glenbrook

For the last couple of years we have held a Read Across Glenbrook fundraiser to help raise money to purchase books for our school's library.  This year our students read their hearts out!  

The fundraiser was a HUGE success!  Thanks to everyone who donated!  Together we raised over $2,200 for the library!  That's a lot of new books!  Mrs. Wahl's class raised $491 and won the movie party with popcorn and Mrs. Chandler's class had 100% participation and earned the movie party.  Aidan Shrode from Mrs. Diaz-Blanco's class won the chance to be the librarian for a day with a generous donation of $325, but we had 6 other students contribute at least $100 each!  Finally, 57 won the chance to come to the library for an extra 30 minutes on Thursday!  WAY TO GO GLENBROOK HAWKS!!!

To add to the fun, the students who raised at least $50.00 will help to choose the books that are purchased.  I can't wait to see what they pick!  Whatever they decide, I know all of our students will enjoy them for years to come.
