A Wintry Week
Winter definitely hit us hard this week with 3 snow/cold days! As temperatures dipped to all times record below zero (-25 with wind chills of -50 below 0), students and staff stayed home and hunkered down. Hopefully, they did some reading while they enjoyed a mini break! Mr. Luis, Mr. Escobar and I watched carefully over the building as we braved the temperatures coming to school all 3 days. We did get a lot accomplished, but missed everyone! As you can see from below, the hallways were very quiet! I did notice all of the "snow" art on the walls, I think that might have been an inspiration for "Old Man Winter!"
Recognize any of these items? Is your child missing a coat? Boots? Gloves? A Hat? Sweatshirt? The hallways are filled with extra clothing items as is the lost and found. Come take a look!
100th Day of School
We should have celebrated day 100 on Monday, but with a total of 4 snow days, the day came on Friday, February 1. Our Kindergarten and first graders enjoyed lots of counting and activity! The big question is always, "How many more days left of school?"
