So Much Learning!

This week our students enjoyed a visit from Fireman Tim McCoy and Fireman Brandon Moneyhun. They learned all about fire safety and what to do in the event of an emergency. Thank you to our Streamwood Police Department for helping us to be safe!!!

Kane County Spelling Bee Semi-Finals
Congratulations to Aaditya Sanghavi (Aadi), one of four finalists in the Kane County Spelling Bee. (and the only U-46 student of the final 4)  We are so proud of his hard work and dedication and know that he will do a great job in the finals which is scheduled for March 14th at the Kane County Regional Office of Education in Geneva.

STEM Expo

U-46 held their annual STEM expo at Bartlett High School on Saturday, February 23.  It was a well-attended event and Glenbrook students had excellent participation with 24 students sharing their projects.  I'm so proud of the research they have done and the knowledge that these brilliant minds have gained!  Way to go Glenbrook students!

Approximately 365 students from all across the district prepared projects to share at the expo.

I even spotted some former Glenbrook students! (Now Larson Middle School students.) It's always great to see how much more they have learned and grown too! We sure miss these boys!

Thank you Bucky's Mobil Express

BIG thank you to Bucky's Express 511 Mobil located on Rt. 59 in Streamwood. They have once again awarded Glenbrook the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance Grant. This $500.00 grand will be used to purchase math and science materials and books which will be housed in our school's library.  We are very grateful for the continued support of Bucky's and ExxonMobil. Please thank them by visiting their station today!

February is Kindness Month!
To promote and celebrate the theme of kindness, our classrooms decorated their doors and the hallways with positive messages. Check out these amazing creations!

Valentine's Day Fun

Valentine's Day is a great way to celebrate our friendships at Glenbrook. On Thursday, February 14, we did just that.  We had treats, movies, games, and crafts all while enjoying bit of celebration.

Mrs. Cannon's class created cards for children who are hospitalized over this Valentine's Day.  These well wishes are sure to bring a smile to their faces!
