After the 2:00 Bell.....
Every day after school you will find that the halls of Glenbrook are still buzzing with activity. Several years ago parents asked for after school programs, and we responded. From homework club to STEM classes, music and wiffle ball, there is something for everyone. (Not pictured: Walking Club, Junior Matheltes, Future Problem Solvers and Algebra Club.)
Chorus
The Chorus meets after school weekly with Mrs. Narofsky, one of our music teachers. They are working on a variety of concert songs as well as holiday songs. Last week they were the featured singers on stage at Spring Hill Mall. It was great entertainment for shoppers!
Game Club is one of the most popular club for the intermediate students. The games they play are not easy! They are unique games that require teamwork, critical thinking and problem solving.
Wifflot
At first students had no idea what wiffle ball was, but it sure has caught on now! The students love the indoor baseball game.
The after school SAFE program is not just a day care. Students do homework, play games, work on computers and socialize.
The Homework club works hard 3 days per week.
Robotics/Science and STEM clubs offer lots of 21st century problem solving opportunities.
Our December Dining Out Night was held at one of the kids favorite places, Chuck E. Cheese. It was a well attended event and I think parents enjoyed it as much as the kiddos!
Holiday Shoppe
No peeking into your childrens' bags! Students this week had a chance to purchase holiday presents for their grandparents, parents and siblings this week. Thanks to all of the volunteers who came to help the students shop and wrap. A special thanks to those who organized the event, Diane Plug, Nicole Martinez and our coordinator April Anderson. We appreciate your time and dedication!
