Fermilab supports Science and Kids!

Fermilab has a long history as a partner in education, celebrating 50 years in business this year.  They are now partnered with many schools in U-46 including Glenbrook.  This partnership is bringing many days of training to our teachers and allowing our students access to materials which they would not otherwise have.  On September 29, our 4th graders visited Fermilab in Batavia.  Take a look at some of the exploring they did.

Did you know that you can visit Fermilab? Fermilab is open Monday- Saturday for self-guided tours.  See the attached link for detailed information.  http://www.fnal.gov/pub/visiting/

Anderson Book Fair and Family Reading Night

Change is not always easy, but this time it was fantastic!  Our new Anderson book fair was a popular event.  The students, teachers and parents enjoyed lots of classic and award winning books.  On Wednesday evening, we also enjoyed a "revised Family Reading Night."  Our traditional high school supported event needed to be canceled, but your amazing PTA jumped into action and put together some fun craft activities for the kids.  Parents became the readers and fit the role well!  Thanks to Jill Piwko and Cari Adams for all of their hard work as well as all of those who volunteered. We couldn't do it without you!
