Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year!
We were very excited to welcome back all of our Glenbrook Hawks this week after many of the students have been away from the building for a very long time. We also welcome many new students from our youngest learners in kindergarten, to new students all across the grades. It was a great week of fun and a great way to start after celebrating our 50th birthday! I tried to capture photos from the first day and throughout the week, and I know I missed a lot. The first week I'm so busy visiting, answering questions, and helping our students, that taking pictures is often lower on my priority list. I think you'll get a sense that the week went remarkably well. The students are very happy to be back. The few that had some difficulty adjusting, made great strides throughout the week. I'm so proud of each and every one of them and the entire Glenbrook staff for their hard work this week! Enjoy!
A mystery friend helped us by cleaning up and weeding our butterfly garden this week and planting this wonderful stone. Such a sweet gift to our teachers and school. Thank you! |
Students and their teachers spent lots of time this week getting to know one another by playing games and completing fun activities such as "did you know...., find someone who...., all about me... and other ice-breaker activities. Building relationships is key to building a strong classroom community.
