Summer Fun at Poplar Creek and U-46

As we near the end of July I wanted to post some photos of our Glenbrook Summer STEM Camp.  School District U-46 partnered once again with Poplar Creek Library to offer a STEM/Library program which was a huge success. Thank you to Mrs. Reza, Glenbrook's 4th grade Dual Language teacher and all of the other summer school staff for supporting our students with their explorations.

The first half of the day was spent exploring STEM materials. Students used technology, build robots and even created their own video games.  Them STEM work was held at Heritage Elementary School just a few blocks from the public library.

Once they finished with their explorations, they headed over to Poplar Creek library to read and check out books.  They also remembered to turn in their reading logs so that they could earn their raffle tickets and prizes for the Summer Reading Challenge! Congratulations to all of our participants on a great reading summer!

The beginning of the school year is just around the corner, so be sure to continue with that reading, have a little fun, and don't forget to do your online registration.  If you need help, we will have open registration on August 2nd from 2:00-6:30 pm at Glenbrook.

Finally, if your child is a Kindergarten or 6th grader, they must have a physical and completed immunization record on file on the first day of school or they will be sent home.  Please schedule your appointment today!!!
